DEVONE 2020 CANCELLED

When we started DevOne in 2017, our main goal was to breathe new life into the world of tech conferences. DevOne is all about the people. High quality content at an affordable price, as a chance to meet, exchange ideas, discuss opinions and experience an unforgettable day for the tech community.

For the 2020 edition we had great goals and very ambitious plans, until COVID-19 got the better of us. We had hopes that things would get clearer by the end of the year, but in the light of today’s facts and the prognosis for the following months, there is but one realization: A conference like DevOne cannot happen in the near future.

That’s why, with a very heavy heart, we cancelled DevOne 2020.

A YEAR WITHOUT DEVONE?
IS THERE NO PLAN-B?

We tried hard to work on a virtual scenario, but none of the ideas we could come up with nearly comes to the unique experience of a real-life DevOne. We continue to approach new ideas of online conferencing, but we are pursuing them only if we are certain that they capture the spirit of DevOne.

Based on the feedback we received from speakers and you - our community - we agreed that there needs to be a plan-B. That's why we currently started thinking about a DevOne remote meetup series in autumn 2020. They will be free of charge, and pre-planning has already kicked off. Stay curious, we'll reach out with an update soon.

WHAT ABOUT 2021?

We used the last weeks to reach out and talk to our speakers and partners about the future of DevOne and are pleased that we already got word from most of them, that they would love to join and support us also next year.

Therefore, one thing is for sure - if circumstances allow it - there will be a DevOne again in 2021.

We kicked-off the pre-planning and the process of evaluating a new date in autumn 2021. Expect some news once the date is set.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY TICKET?

Having you at DevOne 2021 would be pure awesomeness! :wink: But we do understand that new dates and the uncertainty of the situation might not feel right. That’s why we refund all tickets to their ticket holders.

That said, we have to admit that we can’t wait to hopefully see you in Linz again next year and we'd highly appreciate your commitment to our conference. So, in case you want to keep your ticket for DevOne 2021 please reach out until Aug. 31th, 2020.

We'll start to refund the tickets at the beginning of Sept. 2020. However, it might take some time until you see the money back on your account. Please be patient with us.
